Seattle - Day 6

Day 6 was another nice and relaxing day. Kris and I went to the grocery store in the morning while Jim and Lynn took the kids to the beach. Then after lunch we went digging for clams. It was low tide, but some locals told us the tide wasn't low enough to get good enough clams to eat. We still went so the kids could see what it was all about and we had a great time. Caught a few clams and the kids caught some tiny crabs that were all over the beach and under the kelp. They also found some great shells and a really large hermit crab shell. Parker jumped right in and started catching the crabs once we told him they were too small to pinch.Madi with a baby hermit crab. It is small, but they did find a clam. Once we were in the car after clamming, Madi asked what were going to do next and I said we were going to find a local restaurant for dinner. She thought about it for a second and then said "Hey, McDonald's is a restaurant!" Great idea Madi, maybe next time! Another funny from Madi that evening was when we were back at camp she was holding the hermit crab shell up to her ear listening to the ocean and she started talking to it like it was a telephone. She even said "Hello ocean, I love you!"
